Moscow is getting ready for the opening of the III Russian Congress with international participation on medical microbiology and infectology

Over 1500 people have already registered for the Russian Congress with International Participation on Medical Microbiology and Infectology (RCMMI). The Congress of 2025 will for the third time become a key platform for the meeting of professional community members - specialists united by the shared vision of developing a new and extremely important medical specialty - “Medical Microbiology”.

The Congress is organized by the RF Ministry of Health, Russian Academy of Sciences, “V.I. Kulakov National Medical Research Center of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology” of the RF Ministry of Health, Russian Medical Academy of Continuous Professional Education (RMANPO),Association of Medical Microbiologists (AMM), with the participation of the Association of Bacteriologists and the Association “Federation of Laboratory Medicine”.

Assessing the role of the Congress for the development of current RF healthcare system, Tatiana V. Priputnevich, Chief External Specialist in Medical Microbiology of the RF Ministry of Health, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Chairperson of the Board of the Association of Medical Microbiologists, said: “We are all generating a new large-scale scientific and practical event, which has become an annual destination for the latest discoveries and technologies in the field of medical microbiology and continues a very important tradition of scientific communication. By combining our knowledge, experience and aspirations, we will undoubtedly make great achievements in the development of medical microbiology and improvement of our citizens' health”.

The main theme of the Congress in 2025 is “Microbiological Monitoring from Local to Global”, based on the application of a set of microbiological tests in the concept of “Fast Microbiology”.

Over 25 sections of the scientific program will be held in parallel in four halls of the Business Center. More than 150 leading experts in the field of medical microbiology and infectology from Russia and foreign countries will make their presentations.

The Congress framework provides for a large number of events related to scientific, practical and organizational activities both in the specialty of “Medical Microbiology” and related specialties: clinical laboratory diagnostics, bacteriology, virology, parasitology, epidemiology, infectious diseases and clinical pharmacology.

Concurrent with the Congress RCMMI events will be the largest industry exhibition: participants will be able to see the products and latest developments of pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers of diagnostic equipment and consumables for microbiological tests.
